We recommend that you examine the terminal isolator for cracks whenever you change your points and condenser. If the stud is corroded it can impede connectivity and ignition. If the plastic isolator is cracked it can interrupt ignition by grounding to the distributor housing. This insulator is the square unit with the key-way in the center to match the keyhole in the distributor housing. The outer square piece is slightly larger than the inner just like the original.
